CardView no muestra sombra en Android L

Mi Cardview dentro de Listview no está mostrando sombra en Android L(Nexus 5). Además, los bordes redondos no se muestran correctamente. Aquí está el código para la vista de adaptador de Listview:

Funciona bien en dispositivos pre-L con sombra adecuada y esquinas redondeadas. Pero no funciona en el dispositivo Android L. ¿Puedes decir lo que me estoy perdiendo aquí?

Después de pasar por los documentos de nuevo, finalmente encontré la solución.

Simplemente agrega card_view:cardUseCompatPadding="true" a tu CardView y aparecerán sombras en los dispositivos Lollipop.

Lo que sucede es que el área de contenido en un CardView toma diferentes tamaños en dispositivos pre-lollipop y lollipop. Así que en los dispositivos lollipop la sombra está realmente cubierta por la tarjeta por lo que no es visible. Al agregar este atributo, el área de contenido permanece igual en todos los dispositivos y la sombra se vuelve visible.

Mi código xml es como :

No olvides que para dibujar sombra debes usar hardwareAccelerated dibujo

Check hardwareAccelerated in manifest make it true , making it false elimina las sombras , cuando la sombra falsa aparece en la vista previa xml, pero no en el teléfono .

Consejos

Puede evitar layout_marginTop y layout_marginBottom ya que la sombra en sí toma un poco de espacio hacia arriba y hacia abajo.El espacio de cantidad definido por cuánto se utilizará en card_view: cardElevation= "ndp".

Mi recyclerview fue lento en la carga por lo que al leer el stackoverflow.com Cambié hardwareAccelerated a "false", entonces la elevación no se muestra en el dispositivo. El me cambió de nuevo a la verdad. Funciona para mí.

Finalmente pude obtener sombras en el dispositivo Lollipop agregando margen al cardview. Aquí está el diseño final de cardview:
