Cómo ocultar el teclado de software cuando se inicia la actividad

Para ocultar el softkeyboard en el momento del inicio de una Nueva Actividad o onCreate(),onStart() etc. puede utilizar el siguiente código:

Prueba esto.

Primero en su xml de búsqueda, los campos (nombre e sugerencia, etc.) ponen @string y no cadenas literales.

Entonces método onCreateOptionsMenu, debe tener un objeto ComponentName con su nombre de paquete y su nombre de clase completado (con nombre de paquete) - En caso de actividad que tiene el componente SearchView es el mismo que el mostrar resultados de búsqueda usar getComponentName(), como dice el desarrollador de Google Android.

Probé muchas soluciones y después de mucho,mucho trabajo esta solución funciona para mí.
