Hash de cadena de tiempo de compilación
He leído en algunos lugares diferentes que usando los nuevos literales de cadena de C++11 podría ser posible calcular el hash de una cadena en tiempo de compilación. Sin embargo, nadie parece estar listo para salir y decir que será posible o cómo se haría.

Esto es un poco tarde, pero tuve éxito en la implementación de una función CRC32 en tiempo de compilación con el uso de constexpr
. El problema con él es que en el momento de escribir, solo funciona con GCC y no MSVC ni Intel compiler.

Al menos por mi lectura de §7.1.5 / 3 y §5.19, lo siguiente podría ser legítimo:

Esto parece seguir las reglas básicas en §7.1.5 / 3:
- La forma es: "return expression;"
- Su único parámetro es un puntero, que es un tipo escalar, y por lo tanto un tipo literal.

- No hay conversión implícita al tipo devuelto.

Tenga en cuenta la diferencia principal {std::hash
no se puede usar, ya que no tenemos control sobre el algoritmo de std::hash
, y debemos reimplementarlo como constexpr
para evaluarlo en tiempo de compilación. Además, no hay hashes "transparentes" en std

Tenga en cuenta que el formulario que se muestra aquí no fue aceptado en el estándar, como se indica a continuación.
Se supone que el procesamiento de cadenas en tiempo de compilación es posible a través de literales definidos por el usuario propuestos en N2765.
Como ya mencioné, no conozco ningún compilador que lo implemente actualmente y sin soporte de compilador solo puede haber trabajo de conjetura.
En §2.13.7.3 y 4 del borrador tenemos lo siguiente:
De lo contrario (S contiene una plantilla de operador literal), L se trata como una llamada de la forma
operator "" X() donde n es la secuencia de caracteres de origen c1c2...ck. [Nota: La secuencia c1c2...ck can solo contiene caracteres del conjunto de caracteres de origen básico. -nota final]
Combine eso con constexpr
y deberíamos tener un procesamiento de cadenas de tiempo de compilación.
actualización: pasé por alto que estaba leyendo el párrafo equivocado, este formulario está permitido para user-defined-integer-literals and-floating-literals, but apparently not for-string-literals (§2.13.7.5).
Esta parte de la propuesta parece no haber sido aceptada.

Alguna explicación
- Estamos usando una sola recursión, por lo que la función funciona bien incluso para cadenas más largas.
- La función extra
combine_crc32
nos permite almacenar el resultado de una recursión bajo una variablepart
y usarla dos veces. Esta función es un walkaround para C++11 limitaton no permitir variable local declaración. - La función
ctcrc32
espera un literal de cadena, que se pasa comoconst char (&)[len]
. De esta manera podemos obtener la longitud de la cadena como un parámetro de plantilla y no tener que depender de macros.
